Yesterday I guest-presented a condensed version of Promo FOMO to a friend’s high-level mastermind group.

The folks in the room were all at or above $1 million per year.

Time’s a ticking

At the end, I did some Q&A.

One member told me “I’ve tried Black Friday several times over the years, and it never really worked. Any spike in sales was offset by a slump in sales 30 days later.”

He was basically telling me, “Maybe this razzle dazzle works for OTHER brands, but not for mine. Mine is different. Special. Promotions just don’t work.”

Because he sells consumables, his experience has always been that promotions simply accelerate sales, but don’t result in net extra revenue.

In fact, they result in lower profit.

(Because his promos were always the “20% off everything” types.)

Well folks, this is why I created the Promo FOMO training.

Because of all the good people out there shooting themselves in the foot with promotions, especially during BFCM, losing out on boatloads of extra revenue, new customers, and higher profits.

Yes, it’s possible to completely screw up a promotion and end up worse off than before.

(There are companies that went out of business after a poorly planned Groupon drove them into bankruptcy.)

If you think your business is different or special, that’s great.

But guess what?

No matter what you sell or how you sell it, one thing about your business is EXACTLY the same as every other business on earth.

Your customers are all humans with predictable, hard-wired thinking patterns when it comes to decision-making around a purchase.

One of my students last year made $17,000 in BFCM sales using some of these strategies, with a brand new brand and small audience. Also selling consumables. Also selling to humans.

I gave the guy on the call yesterday some suggestions.

I told him to follow the training, and explained why is was different and better than anything he’d done before.

I’m not sure he’ll listen to me, but I hope he does.

Because if he and the others on the call do even 50% of what I showed them, the result will be many extra 6 figures in revenue.
