My new money printing machine

thanks Zuck

I still don’t quite trust him, but the gold chain and haircut have seemed to help.

And my latest Meta ads campaign may have softened my heart around the edges.

Here are the stats on the last 7 days of an eCommerce ad I’m running:

meta

split test has a clear winner lol

Let me explain what’s going on.

The top row is a new ad, the middle row is an old ad for the same product.

(Bottom row is totals for the last 7 days.)

I’ve spent $64.27 on the new ad and it’s generated $724.07 in sales in the last 7 days.

The ad is making $11.27 dollars in sales for every single dollar I spend. (ROAS, or Return on Ad Spend)

The original ad generated $22.49 in sales after costing me $22.56 to run. That means after factoring in cost of goods and shipping, I lost money on it.

These ads are for the same product.

One of them prints money, the other burns it.

(NOTE- These are early test numbers. As I scale the budget on the winning ad up to $100 per day and beyond, the ROAS will drop. That’s ok, there’s plenty of room to run on this one.)

No matter what kind of business you’re running, profitable advertising is usually the thing that transforms your thing from a hobby into a business.

But it’s not enough to just “run Meta ads.”

You have to run the right Meta ads.

I’m putting some money on black, some money on red, and spinning the wheel.

But this approach takes time and is super expensive at scale.

Last week, I shared a nifty AI software tool that lets you split test Meta ads BEFORE you pay for ad spend.

At scale, this is faster and cheaper than testing with live ads.

For those of you funding Zuck’s next summer home with me, be sure to check this out:

But I warned you that the guide would only be sent to my most engaged subscribers.

Well, the guide will be emailed out shortly to those of you who earned it.

Keep an eye out.
