“How do you create open loops?”
Monday evening, I was on a group coaching call with over 40 early stage entrepreneurs, and someone asked a question about writing emails.
I was trying to explain how to capture and keep people’s attention with “open loops.”
He didn’t know what an open loop was.
What I told him next may have changed the course of his business.
Ah yes, open loops.
Have I ever told you about the time I pranked my coworker into believing he needed immediate corrective surgery for a botched medical procedure?
Simultaneously one of the best and worst things I have ever done.
It’s a story of open loops, shattered shoulders, and getting sued on Easter, and I can’t think of a better way to explain the concept.
But I’ll spin that yarn in the next post.
